The hardrockband Wild Willy's Gang is founded on the legacy of the famous drummer Willy Bendiksen. Throughout his long career spanning 50 years, Willy Bendiksen has an impressive list of different bands and collaborations behind him. It all started with the prog rock band St. Helena and continued with the bands Høst, Flax, Road, Blonde on Blonde, Perfect Crime, Bad Habitz, Jorn and many more.

At the beginning of the 2000s, he started Wild Willy's Gang, which initially consisted of several well-known musicians such as Ronni Le Tekro from TNT and Jgor Gianola from UDO. In retrospect, there have been many others in this constellation. It mentions: Brian Robertson (Thin Lizzy), John Norum (Europe) and many more. Willy was also the drummer in Ken Hensley's (Uriah Heep) band for a period.
